Another trip to Victory Lane with sights set on Indianapolis

Colten Johnson put in a solid 4th on Saturday and headed back to Victory Lane on Tuesday at NCQMA in Salisbury, NC.

Saturdays race at NCQMA was batch qualifying followed by feature race. Colt qualified in second spot with a time of 7.90 around the 1/20th mile oval. The race had some trouble lining up before the green, but once racing action started it was good for several laps. Colt jumped out to an early lead and with 9 laps remaining was spun from behind and ended up restarting at the rear of the field. With not much of the race left Colt he was able to charge back to a forth place finish.

Tuesday nights action was pill draw and line up to race. Colt was lined up in the second spot again and quickly jumped out to the lead and never looked back. The car was as good as it has been and the driver hit all his marks. Heading back to Victory Lane for the second time in 3 races. "I'd like to thank Steve (Arpin) and my family and crew for all the help. Racing is fun!" said Colt Johnson after the victory Tuesday.

Now all eyes are on Indianapolis with two stops. One at Mini Indy Speedway for the Robbie Stanley Memorial and one at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Battle at the Brickyard.
