The 2017 Battle at the Brickyard seems like its been a long time ago. Even though Colt Johnson hasn't raced an event since the big July race he has been putting in a lot of laps getting ready for his Blue Rookie debut at NCQMA. A new restrictor plate allows for the car to travel around the NCQMA track about 1 second faster. Colt has been hard at work getting a handle on the new line and the new found speed.
Two different test sessions have been completed with huge gains during both. Along with the larger plate comes with a very different set up and some additional components. Colt has taken to it all very well and when asked about the new speed he said "I love it, so awesome. Can it go faster?"
Colt will make his Blue Rookie debut on Tuesday evening August the 8th. NCQMA requires a driver moving up to start at the rear of the field for their first competitive race in a new division.
